Bringing Smiles, Hope, and Holiday Magic to Children in Need
Haiti is home to 11 million people, with children making up 54% of that number. Sadly, 64.3% of boys and 57.3% of girls are unable to read or write. Our organization believes that quality education is the fundamental right of every child, and we are committed to changing those dire numbers.
Haiti can feel like a place of overwhelming need. Once a lush and fertile tropical paradise like its island neighbors in the Caribbean, Haiti has over the past one hundred years endured countless abuses — leaving it the most barren and impoverished country in the western hemisphere.
Generation after generation of colonial and authoritarian leaders have exploited and mismanaged Haiti’s resources. With skyrocketing unemployment, a collapsed infrastructure, and little-to-no social support services, most of the population lives in heartbreaking poverty. High rates of crime and violence also endanger children and families. When equipped with the opportunities and resources they need, however, families in Haiti are empowered to uplift themselves and their communities — and to seek a better future for both their children and their country.
Education offers children a way to break the cycle of poverty and hope for the future. For some children, the only thing in the way of going to school is a backpack of supplies and a mandatory uniform. We support programs that provide quality education, books, and materials to both children in need and children who do not have access to or the opportunity to attend school.
According to UNICEF USA, there are 264 million children and adolescents around the world who do not have the opportunity to enter or complete school. Inhabited by emergencies, natural disasters, political unrest, poverty, and discrimination, a child’s access to education becomes a luxury, not a necessity.
Providing children with basic education offers them the opportunity to become empowered adults with the confidence and courage to support their family and community, ultimately breaking the cycle of poverty and finding themselves on a path to a promising future.
With your help, Angels for Humanity will provide 300 children, living in extreme poverty, with the opportunity for education, empowerment, self- esteem, and a brighter future. Your donation will provide uniforms, shoes, backpacks, books, pencils, paper, school tuition, transportation to the schools, and tutors to help these children be all that they are capable of being.
Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Access to education is a major contributor to child abandonment and continued poverty. Many parents in developing countries struggle to enroll their children in school and purchase supplies. Furthermore, families are easily bribed by promises of educational opportunities for their children. Unable to feed their children, parents are left with the difficult decision to sell their children in order to survive. Often, these children become “restaveks” -victims of abuse and slavery. Children will receive an education while living with their families. We will ensure they have uniforms, books, tutors, and transportation to and from school. Angels for Humanity promotes sustainable development and strong families within communities. Additionally, your donation supports in-school, on-site, outreach support for the children’s educational needs.

Our Back-to-School program will provide children with the opportunity for a self-sufficient, and self-determined future that will positively impact their families and their communities. That’s why Angels for Humanity provides access to free medical and dental care for underserved children through international missions and community outreach events. From checkups and cleanings to life-saving treatments, our volunteer-led health programs bring healing and hope to those who need it most. We also prioritize preventative care, nutrition support, and hygiene education to help children grow up strong and healthy.
Our impact reaches across borders—from communities in South Florida to underserved regions in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Central America. We serve children living in extreme poverty, rural isolation, or systemic neglect, bringing resources directly into the hands of those who need them. Our presence is deeply rooted in Haiti, where we are building long-term, sustainable change through local partnerships and community-driven solutions.
