When disaster strikes, Angels for Humanity is among the first to act—because for the families we serve, every moment counts.
On August 14, 2021, a catastrophic 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti’s southern peninsula, compounding a legacy of trauma from the 2010 quake. Homes collapsed. Lives were lost. Entire communities were left in rubble, and thousands were in desperate need of shelter, clean water, food, and emergency care.
In the midst of this devastation, a mother cradling her child amidst the chaos became a symbol of Haiti’s sorrow—and strength.
Angels for Humanity responded swiftly, bringing aid to three communities, seven schools, and multiple orphanages. With the help of our volunteers and donors, we delivered immediate relief: food, medical supplies, clean water, and emotional support.
We stood beside the people of Les Cayes, Nos Petits Frères et Soeurs, and Hôpital Général, helping children heal and begin the long road to recovery. Our partners, including Motorola, generously contributed essential items like food supplies, packed into buckets for easy transport—simple, life-saving acts that brought stability in the chaos.
In 2016, another crisis unfolded—this time on the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Over 3,000 children, born in the DR to Haitian parents, were abruptly repatriated to a land they had never known. These innocent children—stateless and stranded—were left in makeshift tents, with no food, no clean water, and no one to turn to.
They were victims of politics, not perpetrators of it. And yet they bore the brunt of generational injustice.
Angels for Humanity answered the call. With the support of our loyal donors and friends, we mobilized funds within weeks. We traveled to the border to deliver not just supplies—but joy. We brought clothing, shoes, food, and toys. But most importantly, we brought dignity and celebration. That year, we gave these children something that had been taken from them: a Christmas filled with laughter, music, and love
