In the rural heart of Milot, just outside Cap-Haïtien, Angels for Humanity is bringing a bold vision to life: a school that will serve 400 children living in extreme poverty—many of whom have never had access to a classroom, a desk, or a single book of their own.
This school will be more than a building. It will be a sanctuary. A launching pad. A place where children can dream, learn, and grow into the future leaders Haiti so desperately needs.
In many parts of rural Haiti, going to school is a daily struggle—if it’s possible at all. Children walk for miles under the scorching sun to reach overcrowded classrooms, often lacking basic amenities like water, sanitation, or trained teachers. In some villages, children as young as five share a classroom with teenagers, learning in hot, unsafe spaces with no electricity or proper supplies.
Without intervention, most of these children will drop out by the third grade. Many never attend school at all.
At Angels for Humanity, we believe that access to education is not a luxury—it’s a human right. That’s why we purchased land in Milot and launched a comprehensive initiative to build our first school: a safe, child-centered, eco-conscious learning environment that will serve not only as a place of learning but as a catalyst for lasting transformation.
Due to political instability, our original groundbreaking in December 2024 was postponed. But our commitment remains stronger than ever. We are actively working with partners on the ground to reschedule construction and bring this vision to life—safely and effectively.
