WHO WE ARE
Since 2006, Angels for Humanity has allocated thousands of charitable dollars to high-impact programs for children. Led by dedicated volunteers to serve underprivileged children in Miami, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas, Angels for Humanity is the go-to charity that personifies the holiday joy of giving to children which consistently distributes close to 10,000 toys annually. Moreover, the organization focuses on a broad range of social issues impacting children, but not limited to, health care, education, and back to school supplies distribution. We are committed to empowering vulnerable adolescents by enabling them to create healthy, self-sustaining lives and provide access to quality education and healthcare.
OUR WORK
We understand that issues impacting children can change drastically as worldly affairs ebb and flow. Each year, our back to school backpack distribution reaches over 2000 children. In addition, we provide dental and eye care services to hundreds of children in Haiti’s poorest neighborhood called Cite Soleil, a slum home to 500,000 people. We used our resources to make the greatest impact for the most vulnerable children.
OUR IMPACT
Angels for Humanity’s JOY OF GIVING program distributes thousands of toys to children in Miami, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Haiti each year. At our annual Breakfast with Santa event, children can tap into their creativity at the arts and crafts stations. They enjoy bounce houses, listening to live performances by their favorite Haitian pop stars, a hot lunch, and delicious treats at the Candyland station. Santa and his elves close the day’s events with the toy distribution.
OUR HISTORY
The story of Angels for Humanity began in 2006 when founder Judith Joseph had an epiphany while making a major career change from the corporate world to becoming her own boss. Quickly, Judith realized she will be able to make time for a greater purpose. She enlisted the help of some friends to support the idea of creating a better environment for underprivileged children simply by sharing the joy, the hope, and the spirit of Christmas and the value of education with underprivileged children in the Miami community.
Two years later, the organization decided to expand their efforts to Haiti where the dire needs of children were far greater. Although the organization started as an annual toy distribution event, today it has grown to offer programs to impoverished children around the world. We successfully provide education, school supplies, healthcare and monetary donations to hospitals that treat children with cancer. We have also intervened in times of crisis by providing food, clothing, and supplies to children in need.
